Photographer Gold Coast
- Baby, Maternity & Family Photos
… an award winning photographer who specialises in newborn photography, baby photography & family photography in and around the Gold Coast & Brisbane areas.
I have been a professional photographer for over 10 years now, having graduated from the Southbank Institute with a diploma of Photography. My passion for photography first stemmed from my grandmother and mum, who were both avid amateur photographers themselves.
Even as a child I was always running around with my little film camera, which is why I was drawn to becoming a professional photographer. What I really love about photography is the fact that with a photograph you are able to ‘make memories’.
To freeze in time even the smallest detail, which would have otherwise been lost or forgotten and I absolutely love that.
What Kind Of Photography Services Do You Provide?
Regardless of the ups and downs of pregnancy there is no denying what a unique experience this is. The transition from to bump to baby is a precious period of a mothers life that deserves to be captured before life changes so very much.
This is a time in your baby’s life not to be missed. How amazing to have your precious newborn captured in time for you to look back on forever more and think ‘wow, was she really that small?’
The first year of a baby’s life is filled with rapid change, so many firsts and the emergence of the little people they will become. The chubby cheeks, the cheeky grin and the little bunny rabbit teeth are a fleeting moment in your child’s life. Capturing this innocents will be a beautiful memory for you as a parent.
During your children’s life they change so much and so does your family and its dynamics. The beauty of a yearly family photo shoot will capture your ever-evolving family. These moments in time will become more and more precious as the years pass by, both for yourself and future generations. How lovely to display the story of your life!
What To Expect In Your Photo Shoot
To personalise your experience, its important to chat with you a week or two before your photo shoot so we can create a plan unique to you.
For the photo shoot you can either come to my studio located in Palm Beach or meet at a lovely location. This is a time to be yourself, have fun and really enjoy the experience. Enough time is allowed for you to relax and your comfort is my highest priority. With my easy going nature I am able to capture the true essence of your character and produce beautiful natural moments.
During your photo shoot, I will set the scene initially and then step back and observe, offering a certain amount of direction whenever necessary. No modelling experience is required, I guide you through the entire experience.
About a week after the photo shoot you will be invited back to my studio for your ordering session. This is where you will get to view your beautiful photographs and decide how you want to display them in your home. On completion of your purchase you will receive your order in 4-6 weeks.
Your gorgeous photographs will be ready to display in your home and enjoyed through the years!

So often clients come to me because they haven’t been able to achieve the quality of images they desire themselves. Everyone these days have a fancy camera and its so understandable to assume images will have the same quality from photographer to photographer, however so often the reality doesn’t meet the expectation.
The reality is that a professional photographer has a lot more than just a fancy camera. A professional photographer knows the ins and outs of their equipment and know how to use it to its full advantage.
A photographer knows how to work with light to create a truly beautiful image. And most importantly a professional photographer will know how to get the best out of a person to capture them at their very best. This is just a small sample of the many, many skills required to become a professional photographer.
I also offer a Money Back Guarantee. If you are not 100% happy with your photographs I am more than happy to re-shoot or refund your money – no questions asked and no hard feelings. So you really have nothing to lose!
7 Tips To Choosing The Best & Most Professional
Photographer On The Gold Coast

If you like a photographers photographs then it makes sense you will like what they will do for you. But don’t just look at a few of their images, look through their whole website and get a real sense of their style.
Of course pay particular attention to the kind of shoot you are wanting, for example if you are after a newborn photo shoot then look at their newborn work. Newborn and family shoots are very different and require different skills.
Testimonials are so important if you are deciding on a photographer. You need to know if other clients have been happy with the service and products they received and they give a very good insight into what you can expect if you went with that photographer. If a photographer has glowing testimonials and you love their photographs then I would say you are onto a winner!
Like testimonials, recommendations give very good insight into what you can expect from a photographer. Have you liked a friends photographs that you saw in their home or on Facebook? Did they enjoy the experience? Then ask the name of the photographer!
You may really want an outdoor shoot on the beach and if a photographer only does studio shoots you will be left feeling disappointed. Again, you may really like the clean look a studio shoot offers but your photographer might only do outdoor shoots.
It’s is very important to get what you are wanting. They are your photographs and your memories at the end of the day so you need to get those needs met. I would say a photographer that offers both has a high degree of skill as both outdoor and studio shoots are very different and require different knowledge. Plus for variety over the years, its nice to have both options.
Do You Like Them
As A Person?
I think it is important to talk to your photographer. Whether over the phone or in person. Do they make you feel comfortable? Are they easy to talk to? Do you think your kids will be comfortable around this person? These are important questions to ask yourself.
I think pretty quickly you get a feeling about someone and if that feeling is good then you are on the right track. You need to feel at ease with this person. You can feel vulnerable and exposed in front of the camera and its important that your photographer will help you through that and make you comfortable and relaxed. Also make sure this person will listen to your ideas and better yet, do they ask questions to get a sense of what you are wanting to achieve with your photographs?
Do They Have
To understand why this is important you need to know how photographers are awarded. There is an association in Australia called the AIPP and every year there is a national awards. Professional photographers from all over the country gather at these awards and enter 4 of their best images.
The entries are judged by a panel of highly esteemed photographers and it is very competitive and to be awarded is a very high achievement. So, a photographer with an award means they have been judged and deemed to have shown images of a professionally high standard by their own industry. This is a pretty good indicator that you are going to get high quality photographs.
When looking for anything, price is always at the top of our lists. But don’t let this be the only reason you choose someone. How often have you gone for the cheapest option and been burned? Whether you were given terrible service or the product just wasn’t good quality.
But of course we also need to make sure that the price is within our budget. Don’t be fooled with low prices either. You may think a photographer is cheap but find at the ordering session its more expensive than you realised. Its best to see the full price list before you go ahead with any decisions. Prices often indicate the quality of the service and products that you would receive.
And to receive that higher end service and product you may need to spend more than you originally planned on. But what is important is to then see if the photographer offers payment plans or lay by. A photographer understands their prices may be hard for some people to afford but its important to offer a way to make it easier on people to pay over time.
Photography should be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their financial situation.
